Mother's Circles
Please note: Mother’s Circles are currently paused while Anna prioritises her counselling and psychotherapy training.

Centred Women offers weekly Mother’s Circles to Women with newborn babies, up to 6 months (or crawling). New motherhood can often feel like an invisible experience and we believe support in the early weeks and months is essential.

The fourth trimester is a tender and vulnerable time, your baby is adjusting to life outside the womb and you are adjusting your life to a new baby. Days can pass in a blurry haze of nappy changes, feeding challenges and identity and relational rollercoasters. Nights can be long and lonely.

Motherhood is a journey that is not meant to be walked alone.

Mother’s Circles are an oasis of calm in a period of transition. A safe space to share the difficulties and joys of early motherhood. A nurturing space to reconnect with yourself and connect with others walking the same path, at the same stage as you.

Mother’s Circles are a space to gather, to share stories and experiences and to listen with deep presence. It’s a space completely free from judgement and unsolicited advice.
This space is yours. Babies will need feeding, nappies changing, little ones (and mothers) may cry and that is ok. It’s a nourishing space of authenticity and compassion where you are accepted and welcomed exactly as you are on that day, at that moment.
If you'd like to be notified when Mother’s Circles resume in the future, please feel free to contact me directly or join the mailing list.

Anna is trained in holding space with Sister Stories, is a qualified breastfeeding peer supporter and holds a qualification in Understanding Domestic Abuse. Mother’s circles are a completely confidential and advice-free zone but Anna recognises that pregnancy and motherhood is a vulnerable time and many women struggle silently with complex issues.

Centred Women’s primary aim is to provide Mother’s with a space to find their inner voice, but Anna wants to stress that she is qualified, experienced and capable of being a listening ear and signposting individuals to appropriate support services if they feel that is an appropriate and necessary route.

What to expect
Mother’s Circles with Centred Women follows a very simple framework, beginning with a guided meditation followed by a simple reflective question and an invitation for individual introduction. The space is then opened up for open sharing, where you are welcomed to give voice to whatever you wish to share. Silence is equally welcome and deep listening is practised. The space is closed by a round of closing reflections.
